Hosted by the Common Core Curriculum Office of HSUHK, the event “Reimagining Liberal Education: Forum on Student-Centered Learning and Pedagogical Innovations” forms an integral part of the project “Incorporating Student-Centered Learning (SCL) in the Common Core Curriculum of HSUHK,” funded by the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund (SPEF).
Tentatively scheduled for 4–5 June 2026 at the HSUHK campus, the forum aims to foster a culture of student-centered learning at HSUHK and throughout the higher education sector. The event will bring together academics, researchers, and educational practitioners to share experiences, exchange insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing student-centered learning practices.

The Forum will address the following topic areas:
This topic area explores strategies for engaging students through active learning and designing personalized instruction to address individual learner needs.
This topic area examines the expanding role of technology in education, focusing on how digital tools can create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
This topic area focuses on the development and implementation of innovative assessment methods that are meaningful and relevant to learners.
This topic area considers how liberal education can adapt to the needs of 21st century learners and prepare them for success in a rapidly changing world.
Please complete the Forum’s abstract submission form and submit as a single Microsoft Word file to ccco@hsu.edu.hk. Abstracts should be written in English and be between 300 and 400 words in length. The submission should contain all the required details, including the title, abstract, keywords, and the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. Submission of a full paper is NOT required.
The abstracts received will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee on a rolling basis.
