About CCCO

Aligning with the “Liberal + Professional” education model of HSUHK, the Common Core Curriculum Office (CCCO) is committed to the strategic planning, development, and coordination of the University’s Common Core Curriculum education and its activities, with the vision of nurturing our students to be responsible global citizens and leaders with transferable competencies and humanistic concern.

Working collaboratively with Schools and Departments, CCCO coordinates the offering of common core modules, including FuturEdge Clusters modules and General Education Clusters modules, as well as skills modules in Chinese and English languages, Quantitative Methods, and IT. These components formulate our comprehensive curriculum for equipping students with critical thinking, generic skills, and human values necessary for making a positive impact on the society and the world.

To provide students with a vibrant learning environment where knowledge is not just acquired, but continuously pursued and actively applied, we promote diverse education approaches to the creation, dissemination, and application of knowledge. We enrich the learning experience of students by organising a diverse range of activities and projects. These initiatives complement our formal curriculum, facilitating our students to construct deeper meaning for their learning through the interplay of knowledge and experience.

By forging a deep sense of purpose in our students and developing meaningful connections in their learning, the CCCO aspires to provide our students with a holistic, transformative, and empowering educational journey that supports them to tackle the complex challenges of their future life with confidence and fulfilment.
