Module Description

This module is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the Metaverse, its key concepts, technologies, and implications for individuals and society. As a convergence of physical and digital realities, the Metaverse represents a paradigm shift in how we interact, socialize, work, and engage with content. This module will explore the essential components of the Metaverse, including virtual and augmented reality, blockchain technology, social dynamics, and economic models. Through practical applications, students will gain a foundational understanding of how Metaverse is reshaping social interactions, commerce, and entertainment in a digital-first world.

Module Intended Learning Outcomes (MILO)

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. Understand the concept of the Metaverse and its significance in the context of digital transformation and technological evolution.
