Module Description

This module is designed for the students in the pursuit of business, finance, marketing and related fields of study. This module aims to enable students to explain the theories of designing, developing, and maintaining a quality database. It will help students to develop an understanding of the role of the data and information in the business environment.

Module Intended Learning Outcomes (MILO)

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to: 
a. explain relational database concepts and design a relational database in business environment; 
b. formulate SQL queries on the data for daily operation in business; 
c. appraise how database technology can improve businesses; 
d. design relational database using ER diagrams and normalization.
